LATO SENSU GRADUATE COURSE IN INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY

1.     GENERAL INFORMATION

The Coordination of the Lato Sensu Graduate Course in Industrial Property of the Institute of Chemistry, based at the University Campus, in the City of Goiânia, State of Goiás, makes public that the registration period for the said course is extended. More information can be obtained from the Secretariat of the course, located at the Institute of Chemistry, University Campus, Av.   1. The Course will be held in the period from 17/03/2023 to 26/05/2024, totaling the load of 394 hours including the disciplines, and will be taught on a weekend of Fridays, from 7pm to 11pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 6pm, once or twice a month, according to the course schedule.

 

  1. The Lato Sensu Graduate Course in Industrial Property is intended for professionals in industry, public and private educational institutions, research centers, patent offices and government agencies, liberal professionals with higher education in the areas of science, technology, health, engineering, law, among others, who hold a higher education degree.

 

  1. The course is PRESENTIAL (IN PERSON), however, all classes and activities will be TRANSMITTED LIVE for students who prefer to attend remotely, since there will be participating professors who live abroad and because there are vacancies for students who also live abroad, as a way of making the proposal of internationalization of the course viable. GOOGLE CLASSROOM platform or similar will be used for live broadcasts.

 

 

2.              REGISTRATION

2.1. Registration will be open from 10/02/2023 to 03/03/2023 on the course website (https://especializacao_patentes.quimica.ufg.br/) by filling the registration form, available at https://forms.gle/Yko2zPBnvmz3f1jh7 or in person from Monday to Friday at 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, at the Course Secretariat, located in room 215, in building 2, upper floor of the Institute of Chemistry, University Campus, Av. Esperança, s/n, Vila Itatiaia, ZIP Code: 74690-900, Goiânia, Estado de Goiás.

 

  1. At the time of registration the candidate must:

2.2.1) fill out the online registration form and

            2.2.2)  send the requested documents for participation in the selection process

 

 

2.3. The following documentation must be delivered by the applicant at the time of registration, by uploading it to the form or by e-mail  until /03/03/2023.

  1.                   Curriculum vitae ;
  2.                 Academic records;

 

 

1.               VACANCIES

3.1. The number of vacancies is fifty-five (55) subject to change according to the work plan approved for this class, including the ten percent (10%) destined to UFG employees.;

 

3.2. For all candidates the selection criteria and procedures will be those contained in this Notice.

2.              SELECTION PROCESS

4.1. The selection process for the Specialization Course in Industrial Property - patents will be developed by a Selection Committee, formed by course teachers, according to the course regulations and the procedures defined in this Notice.

 

4.2. The selection process will be developed at the Institute of Chemistry and/or online, at the candidate's discretion, from 06 March  2023 to 10 March 2023.

 

4.3. The selection has a classification effect  and shall be included in the following:

-Interview

- analysis of the Curriculum Vitae , through the evaluation of the standardized curriculum form (FCP), contained in Annex 1 of this notice and completed by the Selection Committee based on the Curriculum vitae delivered by the candidate

 - analysis of academic records,

4.3.1. The evaluation phases will take place at times to be determined by the Selection Committee and informed to the candidates.

4.3.2. There will be no second call or repetition of any of the evaluations.

 

4.4. All reviews will receive a value between zero (0.0) and ten (10.0).

 

4.5. In the Curriculum Vitae analysis, scientific production and professional and academic activities will be considered. The candidate who obtains the highest score will be awarded the score ten (10.0). The conversion of the other curricula will be calculated by means of a simple three rule. This evaluation will have weight of two (2.0) for the purpose of calculating the final mean.

 

4.6. The non-attendance of the candidate to the interview will characterize withdrawal from participation in the selection process and will result in its elimination.

 

4.7. The candidate's classification will depend on his/her General Average (MG), calculated by the weighted average of the scores obtained in the interview (EN, weight 2), academic records (HE, weight 1), Curriculum Vitae (CV, weight 2), according to the expression below:

 

            MG = 2(EN) + 2(CV)+ 1(HE)

4.8. In case of a tie in the general average, the ordinal classification will be made according to the highest score in the following order: interview, Curriculum Vitae and academic records.

4.8.1. In case the tie is maintained in the general average, the ordinal ranking will be from the oldest candidate to the youngest.

 

4.9. The final result of the selection process will be fixed in the bulletin board of the Institute of Chemistry and published on the website of the specialization course (https://especializacao_patentes.quimica.ufg.br/), on March 13,  2023.

 

4.10. The final disclosure of the result of the selection process will contain the names of all candidates, except those considered dropouts.

 

4.10.1 candidates classified in positions not corresponding to vacancies will remain on the waiting list and may be invited for registration in the course at a later date;

 

 

  1. REGISTRATION

5.1. Registration slated   to take place from March 13 to 17,  2023, by e-mail or in person, at the Course Secretariat, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, in Room 215, room of the Specialization Course in Industrial Property, Chemistry Institute, building 2, upper floor.

 

5.2. At the time of registration, the following documents of the selected candidate shall be required:

  1. Own registration form of the course that must be completed at the time of registration, with declaration that the applicant is in accordance with the selection rules adopted;
  2.            Proof of the collection of the registration fee, whose bank slip will be available at the Coordination / Secretariat of the Course, with the exception of the student(s) server(s) UFG.
  3.        Image of graduation diploma . NOTE: for enrollment will not be accepted declarations of completion of undergraduate course. The enrollment is conditional on proof of completion of a higher education course.
  4.        Image of ID with photo;
  5.       a picture of face, colorful and recent;
  6.        Commitment term completed and signed;
  7.          Copy of the last paycheck, if UFG server.

 

5.3. Only the selected candidate who effectively proves that he  has a higher education degree before his or her start will be enrolled in the specialization course in industrial property.

 

5.4. The schedule of the course, including the enrollment period, will be disclosed at the Institute of Chemistry to which the course is linked and through the homepage https://especializacao_patentes.quimica.ufg.br/

 

5.5. Under no circumstances will conditional or extemporaneous registration be allowed.

  1. a) unfilled vacancies will be reoffered as remaining vacancies for candidates who may not have been classified within the number of vacancies in the course
  2. b) in the absence of candidates on the waiting list, there may be a new selection to provide the remaining vacancies, on days and times of realization to be communicated on an appropriate date.

 

5.6. The classified candidate who does not complete his registration due to lack of the required documentation will lose the right to the vacancy of the respective course.

 

5.7. Registration will not be allowed to be locked in this Course.

 

  1. INVESTMENT

6.1.  The total value of the course is US$ 1,900.00 (one thousand and nine hundred American Dollars). At the discretion of the enrolled student,  19 (nineteen) tuition and one tax of enrollment can be fixed, to be paid by the students of the course,  each in the amount of US$ 100.00 (one hundred American Dollars).

 

6.2.  The course fee must be paid at the time of registration.

6.2.1. At the discretion of the enrolled student, the enrolment fee must be paid at the time of enrollment  and the tuition will be due every 10 of each subsequent month, according to the option of installment of the total value of the course.

 

6.3 . The non-payment of the amount of the full  course or any of the monthly fees will result in interest and corrections of the amount to be paid by the student of the course.

6.3.1 The non-payment of the course amount, for those who have opted for non-installment, will result in the non-enrollment and will characterize the withdrawal of the course.

Six- Four.  Payments of late monthly fees of more than 15 calendar days will be subject to protest, executed by the financial management agency of the course (FUNAPE).

7. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

7.1 . The registration of the candidate will imply the acceptance of the rules for this selection process contained in the communications and in this notice;

 

7.2. It will result in the elimination of the candidate from the selection process, without prejudice to the appropriate criminal sanctions, the fraud or attempt to circumvent any of the rules defined in this notice or in the communications, as well as the incorrect and/or discourteous treatment of any person involved in this selection process;

 

7.3. The candidate must keep his/her address updated at the Course Secretariat while participating in the selection process;

 

7.4. The period of recourse to the selection process of the Specialization Course in Industrial Property will be 48 (forty-eight) working hours, from the time of disclosure of the final result.

 

7.5. The cases omitted in this Notice will be resolved by the Board of Directors of the Institute of Chemistry of the Regional Goiânia of UFG in the first instance.
